Over the course of the next few weeks we'd like to introduce you to our Board and have asked them to answer 3 questions to help you get to know them better.
This week we're profiling our Chair, Salima Ebrahim!
1. Tell us a bit about yourself: By day I'm the Executive Director of the Banff Forum, a national public policy institute. I'm also the Chair of YEG Anthology, a mom of two awesome kids, a city builder and traveler at heart.
2. Why are you involved in Anthology? I’m a strong believer and advocate for literacy and believe they provide an invaluable service to the communities they serve by bringing people and ideas from various backgrounds together and promoting lifelong learning and literacy. I also believe that they are great information equalizers – the only place people of all ages and backgrounds can find and freely use such a diversity of resources. When I moved back to Edmonton getting a library card was one of the first things I did for my kids and myself and we're there all the time!
3. What is your favourite book? We're going through a Dr. Seuss phase at home right now and love Oh the Place you'll Go! I'm also reading Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari.
